Si Mangia! Eatery & Cafe sits comfortably on Woodbridge Avenue as a spot where everyday Italian flavors meet a no-frills, homey atmosphere. More than just a coffee stop, this café captures a slice of Italian life with its mix of fresh pastries, straightforward sandwiches, and hearty pasta dishes. It’s the kind of place locals seem to visit when they want to settle in for a relaxed meal rather than just a quick bite or coffee rush.

The café’s vibe is casual and unpretentious, fitting the neighborhood’s down-to-earth character. The space encourages lingering, whether you’re there to savor one of their standout croissants like the Crema Ed Amarena or to share a Party Size Pizza with friends or family. Because the menu shows an affection for classic Italian street food — panzerotto, zeppole, and sfogliatella — the place edges toward comfort food with a quality fresh feel rather than anything overly refined or fancy.

Visitors who appreciate a genuine approach to Italian staples will find plenty to enjoy here. For example, the seafood pasta (Spaghetti Alla Pescatore) is a bright, aromatic dish that offers a taste reminiscent of Mediterranean regional cooking. The veal sandwiches and sausage with rapini sandwiches showcase a solid hand at layering familiar Italian flavors in handheld forms, making this a spot suited as much for lunch breaks as casual dinners.

Si Mangia! doesn’t rush its rhythm, so expect some wait times especially during peak hours — an indication they focus on preparing meals with care. The limited operating hours and menu size hint at a place run by passionate owners rather than a high-turnover eatery. This means it might not suit someone in need of a quick solo dinner at odd hours but serves well those who plan their visit for a cozy sit-down meal or to share classic bites with others.

The café atmosphere resonates particularly well with people who value a slower, more intimate dining experience — locals who appreciate authentic Italian hospitality and fresh pastry mornings, alongside families or small groups looking for familiar Italian tastes. Morning or early afternoon visits are probably the best times to find freshly baked cornetti or to avoid any rush that comes with the limited seating and focused menu.

While those looking for a traditional espresso bar or a bakery with a broad selection might feel the offering here seems more focused and specialized, regulars come back because of the balance between welcoming atmosphere and comfort-driven food. The owners' warmth often stands out, making it feel less like a commercial place and more like a friendly neighborhood spot where the food carries the spirit of an Italian kitchen away from home.

The food is fresh and very good their limited menu and hours make it hard to eat and support the business. For example you can’t order a personal size pizza it is party size only. Christmas eve I walked in and tried to order one plate of fish pasta as it was my first Christmas Eve alone and was told they had a big order and too busy to accommodate me. I called to order one night at 5:30 but told the kitchen closed at 5:00 I have gone there three times and each time had to amend my order to accommodate them rather than them being accommodating to me. I look forward to be able to order a personal size pizza or a seafood pasta for dinner for 6:30 pm . I just can’t eat dinner at 5:00 pm yet .

One of the best if not the best authentic Italian restaurants where the owners Benito and Marietta have the gift of hospitality. Food took a bit long to order tbh but it was well worth the wait. The calzones were out of this world and huge! Can’t find calzones like this anymore. We also ordered the grilled steak sandwich with caramelized onions and veal sandwich with roasted peppers. Quantity was a bit small but every bit was savoury and a party in my mouth! We also ordered the party size pizza but I couldn’t try any because my family ate it before I could try. LOL. We also ordered the breaded chicken cutlet which was really good. Again I didn’t get to try it because it was gone before I could even ask. Had tons of desserts which were all amazing and zero leftovers. Atmosphere feels like you are in Italy. Place is a bit small but very quaint. I think there are around 7 tables that fit around 4 ppl per table so maybe enough seating for just under 30 ppl. Well done. Coming again to try the pasta dishes and lasagna!! Tip - next time I’d order ahead of time because we waited around 45-60min for our dinner!

The best Caffé in old Woodbridge by far! Went to the other one first down the street and it was still closed at 8:30! Ridiculous! it's a caffé! The second one that's a bakery doesn't have good espresso/machine and the baked goods are never fresh (make my stomach turn sometimes). This beautiful little gem on the other hand has the freshest cornetti (Italian croissants) I have ever had! Didn't last long in my plate! Pistachio flavour was incredible, not too sweet, crispy exterior and still warm and soft on the inside. Just came out of oven! The caffé was amazing! Strong kick, aroma, quality beans and machine for sure. I can't wait to try the rest of the flavours and the food menu looks amazing. The place is SUPER CLEAN (including the washrooms) and tastefully decorated. Run by a beautiful, classy and hospitable Italian family. The prices are very reasonable. I will be returning to this place many times in the near future.

This place is amazing! As an Italian who has been living abroad for years, I really felt like home! The food was amazing and the owners were amazing too! I will definitely come back!

Cozy place with good food. Definitely sit down and enjoy your meal if you have the time. Great sandwich, delicious potatoe crocche, and yummy panzerotti. I love that their bread for their sandwiches, are soft with a slight crisp exterior. Doesn’t cut your mouth. As for the fried foods.. What’s not to like about fried food? It doesn’t taste heavily greasy either. I’ve been here a few times now and, I’m on a mission to try other items they have to offer.

Amazing staff, service and food! I’ve dined it and ordered their chicken and veal parm for catering and it was amazing. So worth the price

I just recently opened a store across the street, I have been looking at this place daily just waiting for the free time to go check it out. Well boy am I happy I did! I was just looking for a snack, so I just got a panzerotti with pepperoni ... Does brought me right back to my childhood, it tastes amazing, the dough was absolutely superb & fried to perfection ... It was also very large, I was very happy with the size of it ! This has to be a family run restaurant, everybody was so friendly and inviting ... Smiles on everyone's faces, super happy to be able to help you ... I just walked in and ordered, the place wasn't that busy when I went, so I got my food fairly quickly ... I definitely can't wait to go back and try more of the food and the beautiful looking pastries on display !!! If you are in the area, I would take a minute to stop in for a bite or bring home some sweets !!!

The review is 9 out of 10 and Food is just WOW. So Marietta reached out to me via Instagram as she saw my other food vlog on Pizza Pizza Panzarotti, so she said that I make better Panzarotti than Pizza Pizza. So she told me to come out.and try her food. So I visited her place and I ordered Panzarotti Zeppoli Rice croquettes Potato croquettes Cappuccino And one more Italian lemon custard filled pastry. OMG Food was so delicious. Marietta and her husband Beneto are so welcoming and this place has such a nice positive energy that you automatically feel good. The food is awesome. Like amazing, delicious Italian food. Marietta came from Italy a d she brings all the recipes from Italy and her cooking is so Damm Good. I just love the place, loved the food and loved the Italian hospitality. This place is must try its very good. Thanks for watching pvcrazyforfood.
